How to Find the Right Recording Studio For You
As I'm sure most of you reading this are aware of, finding a recording studio is a task in and of itself, but just because you've found a studio that says they can record your music doesn't mean you've finished your journey to getting your music recorded and out for the world to enjoy.
So, what are some of the main things to look for when you are looking into recording studios to make sure it's the right place for you?
1) You should make sure the people you're working with are friendly. It always, always helps! There's nothing worse than trying to record your music with people who aren't too nice, rushing you, and making remarks about you or your music. There is absolutely no way you will be able to work with that going on
2) Your studio should be respectful and responsible, especially towards you and your music. You're going to be paying them some pretty nice money, so they should respect that and respect your time. They shouldn't rush, by any means, but they also shouldn't do tasks that aren't productive or time wasting.
3) Try to see if you can find out who your recording artist has recorded for before. This isn't the end-all be-all, but it sure helps to at least ease your mind to know they've recorded a few songs that you've heard before. It really does help to ease the mind if you're working with someone who you know knows what they are doing.
4) See what kind of pricing options you have. You shouldn't just choose the cheapest option available, but you should find a place that's within your budget yet also employs some skilled people who love what they do. It's also a huge plus if your recording studio has good pricing plans or packages for you to choose. Getting X amount of hours for a bit of a discount can really make a huge difference.
5) This isn't needed, but it never hurts if they play music themselves! Most recording studios often are started by people who wanted to learn how to record their own music, so you probably won't have to look far for this one.
When you're recording your Song, CD, EP, etc... It's extremely important that you know what to look for in a recording studio, and hopefully this article helped you out on that.
In the end, I'm sure it isn't that hard to find a recording studio with all of the above. Most musicians are fun and friendly, and they love meeting new people. I mean, after all, when you record music for several different bands all day and night, day in and day out, for most of the week.
